LIBRARY
SHOW MAP
- Name
- Jay Pritzker Library on Voyager; just Library on the other ships
- Location
- Deck 7
- Purpose
- Renting and reading books.
- Capacity
- 42 seats
- Décor
- They all look like one another, but they are not identical. The main differences are: the staircase in Voyager's library, which has been deleted from the other designs (see below); and the sculpture on Navigator.
- Notes
- On Voyager, the Library is dedicated to Jay Pritzker, a key figure in the company’s history who passed away before the ship’s launch. As one of the company’s main shareholders, he played a crucial role in preventing a Carnival Cruises takeover in its early days.
The Library’s design was revised on Explorer and the following sister ships. On Voyager, it spans two decks with computers and books spread across both levels. On her sister ships, the computer area on deck 8 became a separate space called Royal Caribbean Online, with more computers but no books.
